About the Artist

Jasmine Elizabeth

I create vibrant, large-scale original paintings using a technique I have never seen another artist use, or even similar! Each piece is painted onto the reverse side of clear perspex and viewed from the opposite side, meaning that the pieces are shiny and contemporary with still the feeling of lashings of oil paint. Although all my paintings are floral, they all end up with varying levels of abstract due to the lack of control I have over elements of the outcome. Often I don’t turn the perspex over to reveal the artwork at all until the painting is complete.

I am based in the creative seaside city of Southend-on-Sea and studied Fine Art Painting at Camberwell College of Arts. My inspiration comes from the vibrant colours of nature, particularly butterflies and flowers.

My paintings are big, bold and saturated - perfect for bringing life to any space.
